Russian ministry says British navy partook in Nord Stream attack
MOSCOW, Oct 31 (PRIME) -- The U.K. Royal Navy participated in planning and implementation of the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream pipelines on September 26, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on October 29.
“According to our information, representatives of the unit of the Royal Navy participated in planning, provision, and implementation of the terrorist attack in the form of bombing of the Nord Stream and the Nord Stream 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea on September 26,” the ministry said.
The Russian government also expanded the list of so-called unfriendly countries and territories on October 30 by including 11 more British overseas territories. Initially, the list included only Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, and Gibraltar, while after the expansion, it includes the Cayman Islands, the Falkland Islands, Montserrat, the Pitcairn Islands, the Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha islands, the South Georgia Island, the South Sandwich Islands, Akrotiri and Dhekelia, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
